You need an account to create songs. Keep your credentials to yourself; anything done from your account is treated as done by you.

You must be at least 13 years old. Where your country sets a higher age for consenting to data processing, that age applies instead.

You own what you make. Octava does not claim ownership of your lyrics, your audio or your artwork.

We need a limited licence to run the service: to store your files, to stream them back to you, and, if you publish a song, to show it to the people you published it for. That licence exists so the product can work and ends when you delete the song.

If you publish a song, you allow other people on Octava to play it and to remix it inside Octava. Remixes carry attribution back to the original.

Do not use Octava to produce:

Creating a song spends credits. Credits are bought through Apple or Google and live on your account, so credits bought on a phone work on the web as well.

Credits are not money, cannot be exchanged for money, and do not expire on a timer we control. Refunds are handled by whichever store processed the purchase, under their policies.

A Pro subscription renews until you cancel it, and you cancel it in the store account you bought it from.

Generation depends on models we do not run ourselves, and it sometimes fails or returns something you did not want. When a generation fails through our fault, the credits go back.

Taste is not a fault. A song that came out badly is still a song that was generated.

You can delete your account whenever you like. We can suspend an account that breaks the rules above, and we will say why unless saying why would make the harm worse.

Octava is provided as it is. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error free, and to the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
